Local and area employers who wish to participate in Texas A&M International University's upcoming career and teacher fair have until Friday, Feb. 11 to register for the event.

Titled "Global Opportunities 2000," the University's career and teacher fair will be held at the A&M International campus on Thursday, March 23 from 2 - 5 p.m.

Registration fee for employers is $40 for the first representative and $8 for each additional representative. Employers who are interested in participating in "Global Opportunities 2000" may obtain registration information by calling the University's Office of Career Services at 326-2260 or visiting offices in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 157.

Viky Garcia, director of Career Services at A&M International, expects "Global Opportunities 2000" will feature over 100 representatives from various employment fields, including government agencies, private sector businesses, and school districts located throughout the U.S.

"Global Opportunities provides a forum for A&M International students, graduates, and community members to meet prospective employers to discuss career options, learn about possible employment opportunities, and hear advice on career planning, and that has made it a popular venue for local, regional, and even national employers, " Garcia said.
