University Offers Continuing Ed. Class on Retirement Planning

Texas A&M International University's Office of Continuing Education is offering a four-session class on "Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement."

Students can enroll in a class offered Tuesday evenings, from 6:30 - 9 p.m., Jan. 18, 25, Feb. 1 and 8 in Building C room 102, or a Thursday evening class 6:30 - 9 p.m. Jan. 20, 27, Feb. 3 and 10 in Bullock Hall room 113.

Tuition is $49 and each paid registrant may enroll a spouse or guest for free. Interested persons may register for the class by visiting the University's Office of Continuing Education, located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 431.

The class will provide participants with in-depth information needed to plan and enjoy a comfortable retirement. Persons who enroll in the class will learn how to potentially increase their investment returns and maximize retirement income. Strategies to protect assets from inflation, estate and income taxes, and erosion due to long-term health care needs will be presented.

The class is relevant to people in the early stages of retirement planning as well as to those who are close to retirement, and is suitable for both beginning and experienced investors.

Following the class, students will be entitled to an optional private consultation with instructors Harry Beltran and Susano Castillo Jr., both licensed investment professionals.
