"Global Opportunities 2000," Texas A&M International University's career and teacher fair, will be held at the University on Thursday, March 23 from 2 - 5 p.m. in the Kinesiology/Convocation Building.

Anyone interested in full-or part-time jobs, special programs, or increasing their awareness of different careers is invited to attend the free event.

Over 90 representatives from local, regional, and national employers will participate in "Global Opportunities 2000" including employers from government agencies, private sector businesses, non-profit organizations, and school districts located throughout the U.S.

"Global Opportunities 2000" provides a forum for A&M International students, alumni, and community members to meet prospective employers, learn about possible employment opportunities, and hear advice on career planning, explained Viky Garcia, director of Career Services at A&M International.

"It's a great opportunity for participants to consider new careers, assess their current careers, or obtain information on beginning a graduate degree. The best part is that they can accomplish all of this in one location with no travel or expense," said Garcia.

For more information on A&M International's "Global Opportunities 2000," call the Office of Career Services at 326-2260. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday - Thursday.
