A community outreach program by Texas A&M International University designed to bring the importance of higher education for Eagle Pass students and families will be held Wednesday, March 22 at The Multi-Purpose room at 480 S. Adams from 6-7:30 p.m.

"Come Home to Your University " is aimed at bringing Texas A&M International University's message and mission home through a lively and informative presentation that features University faculty and students, alumni and staff.

The event is free of charge and refreshments will be provided.

The initiative was launched last year in the Laredo area and is now being expanded to Eagle Pass, said Mary Treviño, associate vice president for Student Services at A&M International.

"Since expanding to a four-year University, A&M International has been seeing a larger number of Eagle Pass students beginning or continuing their higher education pursuits at the University. 'Come Home to Your University' is designed to help provide students and their families with information about the possibilities at Texas' newest University," Treviño explained.

University personnel will be on hand to provide bilingual information about the University, and assist attendees with financial aid information and admissions applications.
