A&M International's High Twisters Name New Members

The Texas A&M International University High Twisters dance team has added seven new members.

They are: incoming freshmen Melissa I. Guerra, graduate of McGregor High School, McGregor, Texas; Yvette L. Astudillo and Christine D. Renshaw, J.W. Nixon High School; and Adriana Ramirez, United High School; Kristina "Kiki" L. Ramirez, who is transferring from Laredo Community College; and Adriana Arce and Melissa L. Compean, both current A&M International students.

The award-winning High Twisters debuted in November of 1997. They have performed at numerous University's events, including the Dusty Fun Run and Walk and Fourth of July concert. The dance team has also performed at various high schools and middle schools, Washington's Birthday Youth Parade, and other community events.

Additionally, the High Twisters annually participate in a number of community service projects, including Christmas gift drives for needy children.
