A&M International Sets Summer Session II Registration July 3

Summer sessions at Texas A&M International University offer students an opportunity to get ahead and speed up their degree program.

A&M International is gearing up for the start of Summer Session II July 3. Registration is from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Late registration ends July 6. Classes begin July 5 and continue through Aug. 5. Final exams are scheduled Aug.

Director of Admissions Maria R. Rosillo said summer has traditionally been an advantageous time for students of all ages to add hours and speed their degree progress.

"We see a large number of students who want to get a few courses completed before they enroll here in the Fall. Students who have already been accepted to other institutions or are enrolled elsewhere find it advantageous to take courses here before transferring on. Others are students who simply want to speed up their degree progress by taking summer courses. Another large group is students beginning or continuing graduate programs. For example, local educators find summer the ideal time to continue their progress on a masters or additional certification," Rosillo said.

A full variety of courses are available, from College Algebra and Aerobic Activities to Principles of Marketing and Human Biology.

"I think students will be impressed with the array of courses offered and the chance to move ahead with their degree progress," she said.
