A&M International's Orientation for New Freshmen Is Saturday

Texas A&M International University will conduct a day-long New Student Orientation for new freshmen and their families and guests on Saturday, July 15 from 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. in the Great Room of the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library (room 319)

The New Student Orientation program will begin with a welcome and introduction for all Orientation participants. Two concurrent programs, one for students and one for family and guests, will follow through 6 p.m. with a complimentary lunch served from 12 - 1 p.m.

New students will participate in sessions on academic success, career planning, and free services offered by the University. Students will also have an opportunity for academic advising and registration.

Family and guests of new freshmen will participate in special sessions that offer insight on how to help their student make their transition to A&M International and how to cope with the changes and impact University life will have on them.

Also included in the Orientation program is an Information Fair that will provide participants with an opportunity to meet with and gather information from representatives of the University's Financial Aid, Student Development, Career Planning, and Student Health Services offices.

An Overnight Orientation for new freshmen students will be held Aug. 9 - 10 at University Village, the student housing complex located on the A&M International campus.

University office hours are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
