A&M International Holds Fall Registration Tuesday, Aug. 22

Regular Registration for Fall semester courses at Texas A&M International University will be conducted by alphabetical sequence on Tuesday, August 22 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. at A&M International's main campus, 5201 University Boulevard.

Registration schedule is as follows: 11 a.m. - 12 noon, L - P; 12 noon - 1 p.m., Q - T; 1 p.m. - 2 p.m., U - Z and A - B; 2 p.m. - 3 p.m., C - F; 3 p.m. - 4 p.m., G - K; and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., Open.

All students will register in the Kinesiology/Convocation Building with the following exceptions: first-time freshmen and concurrent high school students will register in Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library room 157; post-baccalaureate certificate and deficiency plan students will register in Killam Library room 334; and nursing students will register in Canseco Hall, room 315.

University Registrar Barbara Lunce noted this is the first time A&M International has conducted Registration by alphabetical sequence.

Also new at A&M International this Fall are a number of innovative courses in business, anthropology, art, music, and languages. New courses include "Business in the Media" (BA 4399-162/BA 5399-162), "Culture Change, Crisis and Development" (ANTH 3306-161), "Design and Management of the Web" (CIS 4399/CIS 5399), "Elementary Latin I" (LAT 1301-101), "Intensive Portuguese" (PORT 3301-161) "Elementary French I" (FREN 1301-101) and "Elementary French II" (FREN 1302-101), "Modern Art Since Impressionism" (ARTS 3302 102), "Greek and Roman Art" (ARTS 4321-162), "Applied Music: Violin" (MUAP1101-103), "Applied Music: Viola" (MUAP 1101-104) and "Applied Music: Cello" (MUAP 1101-105), "Voice" (MUAP 1101-102), "Guitar I" (MUSI 1192 161) and several mariachi courses.

Fall semester courses at A&M International begin Aug. 23. The last day of Fall classes is Dec. 4 with final exams scheduled for Dec. 6 - 12.

Late Registration for Fall semester courses will be held from Aug. 23 - Sept. 1 in the Office of the Registrar. A late fee of $20 will be assessed to all students registering late.

The Office of the Registrar is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday and 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
