A&M International's Career Services Offers Added Opportunities

Texas A&M International University students, alumni and community members who are seeking employment or companies searching for job candidates can count on a valuable and free offering from Texas A&M International University.

The Office of Career Services at A&M International provides services including on-campus recruitment, job vacancy listings and posting and résumé referrals.

Job vacancy listings are updated on a daily basis and are available to aid students, alumni and the community in job searches. Listings are categorized by career field, and assist job seekers in identifying current local, national and international opportunities.

Virginia Garcia, director of career services, said employers are also encouraged to utilize the services offered.

"Employers can submit information about their current job openings by phone, e-mail or fax. Students, alumni, and community members can then directly contact employers for more information or our office can forward résumés of interested and qualified applicants through our résumé referral service," she said.

The on-campus recruitment is a year-round program, Garcia said.

"Our office provides advertising for employers' available positions and visit, collects application information and handles the employers' interview schedule," she said.

Employers can recruit candidates from all academic disciplines, Garcia said.

"These services are also a valuable resource to students, alumni and the community in assisting them in their job searches and future success," Garcia said.
