University Political Science Association Hosts SPUSA Candidate Talk

The Political Science Association, a student club at Texas A&M International University, will host a presentation by Socialist Party USA (SPUSA) Presidential candidate David McReynolds on Friday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. In Bullock Hall 103.

McReynolds will be accompanied by Tom Wakely, a former Congressional candidate of the Green Party.

McReynolds' discussion topic is "Why Would a Third Party Run a Presidential Campaign?" Wakely will contribute to the discussion and the pair will follow their presentation with a question and answer session.

McReynolds and his running mate, Mary Cal Hollis, are official write in candidates on the Texas ballot.

The Political Science Association is sponsored by Dr. James Norris, assistant professor of political science.
