Retirement Planning Classes Begin Tues., Sept. 12 at A&M International

Texas A&M International University's Office of Special Programs is offering a four-session class on "Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement."

The class is recommended for people ages 45 and over. It is relevant to people in the early stages of retirement planning as well as to those who are close to retirement, and is suitable for both beginning and experienced investors.

Interested persons can take the class on Tuesday evenings, from 6:30 - 9 p.m., Sept, 12, 19, 26, and Oct. 3 in Bullock Hall room 118, or Thursday evenings, 6:30 - 9 p.m., Sept, 14, 21, 28, and Oct. 5 in Bullock Hall room 113.

Tuition is $49 and each paid registrant may enroll a spouse or guest for free.

The class will provide participants with in-depth information needed to plan and enjoy a comfortable retirement. Persons who enroll in the class will learn how to potentially increase their investment returns and maximize retirement income. Strategies to protect assets from inflation, estate and income taxes, and erosion due to long-term health care needs will be presented.
