A&M International Offering SAT Preparation Courses in October

Texas A&M International University's Department of Special Programs is offering two courses for high school students and others who need to prepare to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

An instructor-led "SAT Preparation" course taught by Dr. Kathleen Pletsch De Garcia and Dr. Juan Manuel Moran-Lopez will be held Saturday mornings, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28; 9 a.m. - 12 noon Nov. 4, 11, 18; and 9 a .m. - 1 p.m. Dec. 2. Tuition is $90.

A computer-interactive "SAT Preparation" course will be held Saturday mornings, from 9 a.m. - 12 noon, Oct. 14, 21, 28, Nov. 4 and 11. Tuition is $75.

Both SAT Preparation courses include a pre-test, a computerized exam interactive study program covering general strategy, sentence completion, analogy, geometry, algebra, critical reading, arithmetic, and a post test.

Interested persons may register for either course through the University's Department of Special Programs located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 332. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
