University's Student Organizations Must Be Chartered By Sept. 22

Student organizations at Texas A&M International University have until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22 to submit chartering forms to the University's Office of Student Development.

Student organizations at A&M International must be chartered in order to be officially recognized by the University. Only chartered student organizations may use University facilities.

Chartering forms are available from the Office of Student Development located in the Kinesiology/Convocation Building, room 107.

More than 34 student organizations were chartered during the 1999-2000 academic year. The organizations suited a variety of interests and included the Accounting Society, Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honors Society, Ambassadors, Art Club, Association of International Students, Ballet Folklorico, Biology Club, Chemistry Club, Co-ed Cheer Squad, Club de Español Siglo XXI, Criminal Justice Scholars, Dance Club, Devils Indoor Soccer Club, Electronic Commerce Association, Environment Protection Society, Golf Club, Health and Fitness Club, High Twisters, History Club, International Business Association, Judo Club, Music Lovers Club, Muslim Student Association, Newman Club, Political Science Association, Pre-Law Society, Progressive Alliance, Rotaract Club, Sigma Beta Delta, Student Nurses Association, Student Systems Group, Student Government Association, Sigma Tau Delta, and Women Advancing Women.
