A&M International To Hold Halloween Activities Sat., Oct. 28

Trick or treaters can start their Halloween fun early as Texas A&M International University hold two frightfully fun events for children of all ages on Saturday, October 28.

The spooky spectacular will begin with a Halloween Carnival from 12 - 5 p.m. in the University's Kinesiology/Convocation Building. The Carnival will feature fun games that teach first aid/safety and encourage fitness and motor development in elementary and middle school aged children. Food and refreshments will also be available. It is sponsored by A&M International's Fitness and Sports majors.

Organizer Shelly Peacock, instructor of education at A&M International, said the Carnival games are positive, fun activities fit for every child. She encourages all parents to bring their children to this fun event.

Admission is $5 per child and includes unlimited play at all games. Admission for accompanying parents or guardians is free. All participants will receive candy and prizes. Proceeds help support activities of Fitness and Sports majors.

After the Halloween Carnival, the University's Student Government Association (SGA) will hold their 5th annual Halloween Festival on the University Green from 5 - 11 p.m.. It will feature food booths, game booths, live music, entertainments, and free activities for children. Clowns and Looney Tunes characters will also be on hand to greet children. Admission is free. Proceeds from the food and game booths benefit the University's student organizations.
