$45,000 in Texas AMP Scholarships Awarded to A&M International Students

Over $45,000 in Texas Alliance for Minority Participation (Texas AMP) Scholarships has been awarded to 95 Texas A&M International University students.

The A&M International students each received $500 from Texas AMP, a scholarship for minority undergraduate students majoring in math, biology, engineering, chemistry, science, or computer information systems.

A&M International students who were first-time recipients of the Texas AMP Scholarship this Fall include Armando Alvarado, Gerardo Barrera, Ariel Cervantes, Charles Dalrymple, Yolanda de la Cruz, Ramon de la Peña, Melissa Del Castillo, Anna Diaz, Gabrielle Escamilla, Benjamin Everett, Noe Flores, Nicolas Gallegos, Alejandro Gammon, Georgina E. Garcia, Luis Eduardo Garcia, Hector M. Guzman Jr., Miguel Herrera IV, Luis Lauro Lauriano, Karla Lopez, Christopher Lozano, Joe A. Lozano, Guillermo Macias, Jessica J. Maciel, Gonzalo Martinez, Selina Diane Martinez, Zujey Martinez, Elisa Mata, Jesse Orlando Medina, Sonia Moreno, Elvira K. Mante, Amanda Murray, Cesar J. Navarro, Richard Ornelas, Rene Prado, Lety Sara Phillip, Sonia Rizo, Maria E. Rodriguez, Veronica Rodriguez, Anna Maria Romanelli, Amede Rubio, Melissa A. Ruiz, Sergio Salinas, Carlos J. Sanchez Jr., Kimberly G. Thomas, Armida Treviño, and Vanessa Villarreal.

Students who were recipients of the Texas AMP Scholarship this Fall and have received the Scholarship through A&M International in previous semesters include Cristina Ayala, Alice A. Flores, Paula Flores, Andres Gonzalez, Francisco Eduardo Gonzalez, Margarita Hernandez, Susana Hinojosa, Jeffrey Huvar, Maria Guadalupe Ibarra, Adriana Juarez, Phillip Layton, Enrique Lobo, Berenisse Mares, Alma Mendez, Ruben Mendez, Liz Paulina Millan, Daniela Ochoa, Metztli Ortega, Hipolito Palomo, Fuzhan Parhizgar, Christopher Ramirez, John David Rodriguez, Aurora Rosillo, Clarissa Ruiz, Rodolfo Saldivar, Abelardo Samaniego, Cynthia Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez, Gilbert Sanchez, Michael Soto, Lizette Vidaurri, Jessica Villanueva, Maria G. Jesus Flores received the Texas AMP Scholarship through A&M International this Fall and received the Scholarship previously through a lower-level institution.
