A&M International Student Club Hosts Block Party Nov. 11

Texas A&M International University's Baptist Student Ministries (BSM), a student organization, and the Segunda Iglesia Bautista will hold a free "Fiesta de la Comunidad" Block Party on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Segunda Iglesia Bautista, 2719 Napoleon.

The free event is open to everyone in the community. It will include carnival-style games, face painting, puppet shows, and performances by the BSM Mime Team and the Iglesia Bautista Nuevo Nacimiento Rondalla.

Free food and refreshments will be provided while supplies last and door prizes will be awarded.

Community service groups including Texas Migrant Council, Inc.-Child Care Management Services, Bucker Family Services, Texas Department of Human Services, Laredo Police Department, and the Red Cross will also have information booths at the Block Party.

Other groups participating in the event include the United Baptist Church, Boy Scouts, and the Santo Niño Parent Teacher Organization.
