Thanksgiving will be celebrated early at Texas A&M International University as A&M International's Student Government Association (SGA) hosts their fifth annual "Thanksgiving Feast" for University students, faculty, and staff on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 12 - 2 p.m. in the Great Room.

The SGA's Thanksgiving Feast is a popular University tradition that gives the campus community a unique opportunity to come together.

The annual event also gives students and employees who are far from home an opportunity to share a traditional Thanksgiving meal surrounded by friends and colleagues, explained SGA sponsor David VerMilyea, Director of Student Development at A&M International.

"The Thanksgiving Feast unites the University community in sharing and friendship. It's a perfect way to wind down the semester and begin the holiday season," said VerMilyea.

He noted that many of the University's foreign students experience this American holiday for the first time at the Thanksgiving Feast.

It is free for University students and $2 for faculty and staff. A valid A&M International I.D. is required.
