A&M International Students Invited to Apply for Morris K. Udall Scholarship

Texas A&M International University students in fields related to the environment or health care are invited to apply for the Morris K. Udall Scholarship, an award of up to $5,000 per year.

The Udall Scholarships will be awarded in April 2001 to students who will be college juniors or seniors during the 2001-2202 academic year.

To be considered, a student must be nominated by A&M International or other institution. Nomination materials are available from Dr. Sushma Krishnamurthy, assistant professor of biology at A&M International. Interested students may contact Dr. Krishnamurthy by visiting her office located in Canseco Hall, 313J or by calling her at 326-2584.

Deadline for nomination is February 15, 2001.

Typical majors or areas of study of past scholarship recipients have included environmental engineering, agriculture, biology and other natural sciences, natural resource management, political science, sociology, anthropology, geography, cultural studies, history, public policy, and pre-law.
