Nuevo Laredo Literary Magazine to be Presented at A&M International

Two Texas A&M International University students will be among writers featured in the latest issue of a Nuevo Laredo literary magazine to be presented at A&M International Thursday, Jan. 25 from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. in Bullock Hall 101.

Marta Patricia Hernández and Yolanda G. De la Cruz, both majoring in Spanish, have written short stories that will appear in the latest edition of Cariátides, a magazine published by Nuevo Laredo writer Guadalupe Bello.

Hernández's story is titled, "Sábanas cien porciento de algodón" (Sheets 100 Percent Cotton), and De la Cruz's story is titled, "Amigos por Siempre" (Friends Forever).

The event is free of charge and open to the public and is being organized by the Club de Español Siglo XX (Twentieth Century Spanish Club), a sanctioned student organization. Refreshments will also be served.

The event included readings of other works featured in the magazine and a guitar presentation.
