Students, faculty and staff at Texas A&M International University have one more week to participate in a survey that hopes to gauge interest in child care services.

The survey, which was first offered Jan. 10-12, will now be available for completion Jan. 16-19 in Killam Library room 160. The survey need only be completed once.

Associate vice president for student services Mary Trevino said the University has been exploring a number of options to help bring child care to or near the campus.

"This survey is aimed at helping us to determine the needs and preferences for providing child care service close to the campus," Trevino explained.

She said the University realizes child care is of keen interest to students, faculty and staff members and said participation in the survey can help determine the best format for proposed service.

Survey results will also be helpful in seeking funding support from the State for the initiative, she noted.
