Presentations at Farias, Tarver Community Centers Jan. 23, 25

Bilingual information about Texas A&M International University will be presented at Farias Community Center, 1601 Farias, on Tuesday, Jan. 23, and Thursday, Jan. 25, at K. Tarver Community Center, 2902 Tilden.

Registration at each free event begins at 6:30 p.m. with the presentations to start at 7 p.m.

Dubbed "Come Home to Your University," the lively, informative presentation will let the community know that higher education is an affordable and accessible necessity.

The free event will provide an opportunity for informal visits with University faculty, students, alumni and staff. University personnel will also assist attendees with financial aid information and admissions applications.

Additionally, current students and graduates from the center area's neighborhood will offer their individual perspectives on the University and higher education.

Free refreshments will be provided and the University's performance groups will provide entertainment.

A "Come Home to Your University" presentation is also scheduled at Northeast Hillside Community Center, 320 Wyoming, on Tuesday, Feb. 6, with registration at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation at 7 p.m.
