Texas A&M International University students have additional opportunities to make their mark on the global marketplace with an enhanced foreign language inventory this Spring Semester.

"Elementary French II" (FREN 1312-201) will be offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11-11:50 a.m. and will be taught by Valerie Jeanne Rasmussen, a native speaker of French.

"Luso-Brazilian Literature and Culture" (PORT-3324-262) will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-8:45 p.m. and is an ideal continuation for students who have completed the University's Fall Portuguese offerings or who have a familiarity with the language. Olga Maria Verduzco-Dominguez, a native of Brazil, will lead the course.

Some 14 classes are offered in Spanish language and literature this Spring.

In addition to an extensive selection of Spanish language courses, students can also study the ancient intrigue of Latin.

"Elementary Latin I" (LAT 1301-2611) will be offered from 4:30-5:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, while "Elementary Latin II" (LAT-1302-262) is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:15 p.m. The course will be offered by Reynaldo Montemayor, instructor of Latin.
