Those interested in searching for a job or an internship at area businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies or school districts are invited to attend Texas A&M International University's "Global Opportunities 2001" Career and Job Fair March 8 from 1-5 p.m. in the Kinesiology/Convocation Building.

Virginia Garcia, director of Career Services at A&M International, said "Global Opportunities 2001" provides a forum for A&M International students, alumni and community members to meet with prospective employers, learn about possible employment opportunities and hear advice on career planning.

Employers participating in the fair will share information about full-time and part-time employment or internship and volunteer opportunities available at their organization, Garcia said.

"Last year, we had more than 100 representatives from local, regional and national employers participate in 'Global Opportunities'," Garcia said, "We would like to encourage all those searching for a career move to participate in this worthwhile event. What participants hear in this career fair could make a difference for their future."
