Registration Underway for Language Courses at A&M International

Registration is underway through May 31 at Texas A&M International University for courses in English as a Second Language (ESL), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) preparation, as well as French, Italian and Spanish classes offered this summer through the University's International Language Institute.

Intensive and Semi-Intensive ESL courses will be offered in six levels. Tuition is $470 per course.

Intensive courses will be delivered in two different sessions from June 4 - 29 (First Session) and from July 9 - Aug. 3 (Second Session). The First Session will focus on listening, speaking and grammar skills and the Second on reading and writing. Classes for both sessions will meet from 8:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Semi-Intensive courses will last June 4 - Aug. 2 with an emphasis on reading and writing. All classes will meet from 7:30 - 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Advanced TOEFL preparation courses will be held from June 4 - 29 and July 9 - Aug. 3 from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tuition is $215 per course.

In addition, A&M International will offer three introductory foreign language courses this summer. Tuition is $215 per course.

Beginning French will be held June 5 - Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Beginning Italian will be offered June 4 - 28 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Also, Beginning Spanish will be held June 5 - Aug. 2 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Registration for all ESL, TOEFL preparation and foreign language courses is being conducted at ILI offices located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, suite 214.
