Eichorst New Comptroller at A&M International

Texas A&M International University has a new family member with the addition of Ronald D. Eichorst, CPA, as Comptroller.

Eichorst, originally from Laredo, replaces former comptroller Maricelda Zárate, a veteran A&M International employee who resigned from the University in May to join her family in Minnesota.

Prior to joining A&M International, Eichorst worked as comptroller for Dinastia International. There, he was in charge of overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting.

Before Dinastia, he was self-employed as a certified public accountant, preparing major federal income tax returns and providing accounting software installation and consulting services.

He has also held key positions as an accountant for the offices of Jesus A. Davila and for Gonzalez, Farias & Guerra.

Eichorst holds a master's degree in professional accounting from Texas A&M International University. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting from the former Laredo State University.

Joe Garcia, vice president for Finance and Administration, said A&M International is proud to welcome Eichorst to the vibrant team of administrators making a significant difference in Laredo's hometown University.

"We are fortunate to have Ron Eichorst with us. He will play a pivotal role in making sure that the University's financial operation continues to be conducted responsibly, especially at this moment of historic growth," Garcia said.
