New Freshmen Encouraged to Register for University's Overnight Orientation

First-time Texas A&M International University freshmen can learn what services and resources are available to them on campus through a free Overnight Freshmen Orientation scheduled for August 15-16.

Students can register to participate in Orientation by calling the University's Office of Student Development. Early registration is encouraged.

A $20 fully refundable deposit is required to register.

Participation in New Student Orientation is required for all entering freshmen.

The supervised Overnight Freshmen Orientation will be held at the University Village, the on-campus student housing. Students participating in either Orientation session will check into University Village at 9 a.m. and check out at 1 p.m. the following day.

Participants will explore the University campus, attend classes, and meet with University representatives to discuss services available from Career Services, Programs for Academic Support and Enrichment and Financial Aid. Social activities, skits and entertainment are also included.

Students participating must bring their sleeping bag, personal toiletries, swimwear, towel, alarm clock, pillow, sheet, blanket and change of clothing.
