A&M International Class Teaches Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement

If you think it is too early or late for you to start planning fora successful retirement, a class offered at Texas A&M InternationalUniversity starting this month may change your mind.The class, "Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement," is geared for people in the early stages of retirement planning as well as for those who are close to retirement and provides participants with in-depth information needed to plan and enjoy a comfortable retirement.

Offered in a series of four sessions, the class can be taken oneither Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6:30-9 p.m. in Bullock Hall 101.Tuesday classes will be held on Sept. 18, Sept. 25, Oct. 2 and Oct. 9.Thursday classes will be held on Sept. 20, Sept. 27, Oct. 4 and Oct. 11.

Tuition is $49 and each paid registrant may enroll a spouse or guest for free. Interested persons may register for the class by visiting the University's Office for Special Programs, located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 332.

In the class, students will learn how to potentially increase their investment returns and maximize retirement income from representatives of a local investment company.

Also, strategies to protect assets from inflation, estate and income taxes, and erosion due to long-term health care needs will be discussed.

The class is suitable for both beginning and experienced investors.
