A&M International Posts Highest Enrollment Growth in A&M System

Texas A&M International University's headcount enrollment growth for this Fall semester is the highest in The Texas A&M University System.

A&M International reported a 12.4% enrollment increase to 3,415 students, up from last Fall's 3,038.

According to figures provided by A&M's office of the associate vice chancellor for planning and research, the second highest growth in the System was the 8.4% increase reported by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Texas A&M University-Commerce was third with 6.7% increase and Tarleton State University, with campuses in Stephenville and a center in Killeen, was up 6.4%. Texas A&M University Kingsville, with campuses in Kingsville and San Antonio's Palo Alto Center, reported a 3.6% increase.

A&M International semester credit hours, upon which State funding is based, grew 15.2% from 28,472 last Fall to 32,811 for Fall 2001.
