Laredo's ghouls and goblins can celebrate Halloween on two separate days at Texas A&M International University.

The third annual Texas A&M International University Fitness and Sports Halloween Carnival will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, in the Kinesiology Convocation Building.

Tickets are $5 per child and include unlimited play at all games. Accompanying adults are asked to bring two cans of food for the Laredo Regional Food Bank or a $1 donation.

The carnival integrates subject matter such as math, history, science and geography with games, giving students the opportunity to learn while having fun and enjoying Halloween safely. Games include treasure hunts, obstacle courses, and miniature golf, among others.

Special guests this year include the A&M International Police Department and U.S. Border Patrol, who will bring a canine officer.

Awards will be given to the best Halloween costumes, but are not required for admittance. Food and refreshments will be available.

For more information, please contact Shelly Peacock at 326.2672, visit offices in the Kinesiology Convocation Building, room 114 or email speacock@tamiu.edu.

The festivities will continue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 31 on the campus green with the Texas A&M International University Halloween Festival, organized by the Student Government Association and A&M International student organizations. Please note the day and time change!

Over 20 student organizations are expected to participate. They will offer food, performances, games and contests. The Festival is free and open to the public.
