Texas A&M International University's Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library will help area residents research and navigate the laws that govern us with a workshop entitled "Federal and State Laws."

The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 28 at 6 p.m. in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 206. The session is free and open to the public.

Joshua Been, government information librarian, said the workshop will be important to anyone trying to understand the law on their own.

"Participants of the workshop will learn how to locate, on their own, the countless laws that govern our daily actions and transactions. Afterwards, attendees will have a basic understanding of how to research Federal and State laws on virtually any subject," said Been.

The workshop will cover on-line resources and print government resources available at Killam Library.

"This workshop will not provide legal advice or legal counsel but will assist participants in researching any types of laws in which they are interested and discovering resources that are available to help them," said Been.

The final government information workshop in this series, "Environmentalism," will be held on April 15.
