Area High School Counselors Invited to TAMIU June 4

Approximately 60 counselors and high school administrators are expected to attend the annual Year-End Counselor's Update Tuesday, June 4 at 9:00 a.m. at Texas A&M International University's Student Center, room 120.

Staff members from the University's offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Enrollment Management and School Relations will provide information about which students from each high school are attending TAMIU and received scholarships. In addition, participants will receive information on orientation, testing, summer opportunities and new programs offered at the University.

Verónica González, director of the Office of Enrollment Management and School Relations, said that the updates, which occur three times a year, help area counselors keep abreast of any changes and allow them to provide the most current information possible for their students.

"By meeting with the counselors three times a year, we form a close relationship with the schools and ensure that students have the most up-to-date information possible," said González.
