Human Resources Seminar at TAMIU Set for July 26

Texas A&M International University's College of Business Administration can help area businesses brush up on and improve their human resources practices. The College will host a seminar entitled "HR Law: Best Practices Update," at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 26 in the Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 116. The cost is $40 before or on July 25 and $45 after July 25. Cash or checks only will be accepted at the door.

The keynote speaker for the seminar will be Sally Aguilar. She holds a master's in business administration, is a senior professional in human resources and is CEO of HR911 Solutions. Topics for the seminar include: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended-An overview; Affirmative Defense and the EEOC's new Guidelines on Harassment; Harassment-It's Not Just About Sex Anymore and other employment laws including ADA, FMLA, Texas Payday Law, FLSA, Immigration Reform and Control Act, USSERRA, OSHA Coaching, Counseling and Discharging Employees.
