Texas A&M International University's Cheer Camp invites elementary, middle and high school cheer squads to attend a one-day workshop, Sunday August 25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Kinesiology-Convocation Building.

Attendees will learn age appropriate dances, cheers, chants and stunts. The cost is $20 per person and includes lunch and a commemorative t-shirt.

Shelly Peacock, coordinator of the event, said now was the perfect time to learn some new moves and enjoy cheering.

"We want people to come and learn something new to take back to school with them for the fall. Our cheerleaders are excited to share their knowledge with others and it should be an exciting day," said Peacock.

For more information, or to register, please contact Shelly Peacock at 326.2672, visit offices in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 335 or e-mail speacock@tamiu.edu. University office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
