General Registration at TAMIU Set for Next Week

General registration for Texas A&M International University Fall 2002 semester courses will be held next week on Friday, August 23, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Student Center.

Dr. Ray Keck, A&M International's president, said this Fall is an exciting time for the University.

"We continue to grow and expand our offerings to our students and to the community. This Fall, we are adding 19 new full-time faculty members and offering 17 new courses, including a special issues in communication course focusing on photography and photojournalism, and an engineering course. Our new athletic teams, Women's soccer, Men's soccer and Women's volleyball, will have their first games this Fall. It's an exciting moment in the life of the University," said Keck.

He said the University offers 54 undergraduate and graduate degrees, and plans to continue adding to that number.

The Office of the Registrar is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday and 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
