Sayings to Inspire Installed at TAMIU's Student Center

While the Texas A&M International University Student Center has been called the "living room" of the University, visitors will find that they can still learn and expand their minds while relaxing. Over the various hallway entrances are quotes specifically selected for their inspirational and pithy content.

Memorable words from such luminaries as John F. Kennedy, Anne Frank and Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra provide quiet inspiration to all in the form of faux stone plaques, recently installed as called for by the building's original design.

Joe García, Vice President for Finance and Administration, explained that his office as well as the Office of the President, in consultation with other campus members, searched for suitable quotes.

"These inspirational quotations were requested by the donor who assisted in making the Student Center possible. After selecting the 22 finalists, we took the more powerful and inspirational ones and had them installed around the rotunda on both floors," explained García.

So be sure to look up when visiting the Student Center.
