TAMIU Celebrates Halloween with Two Carnivals

Haunted houses and games will dress Texas A&M International University in a festive, Halloween atmosphere as it celebrates seasonal event with two separate carnivals scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 and Thursday, Oct. 31.

The first event is the Fourth Annual Fitness and Sports Halloween Carnival, to be held Oct. 26., from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Kinesiology/Convocation Building. This educational event is designed for children, will feature interactive learning games, a costume contest, prizes and candy.

Tickets are $5 for children and include unlimited games. Adults will be charged two cans of food, to be donated to the Laredo Regional Food Bank.

The second event, organized by the TAMIU Student Government Association, will consist of a Halloween Carnival to be held Oct. 31, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the campus green.

Food, games and various contests are planned and candy will be given to all trick-or-treaters on campus.

The event is free and open to the public.
