Noting that the use of the web has become the preferred information tool for many potential Texas A&M International University students and partners, president Dr. Ray Keck launched the University's new web page on-line this week.

Dr. Keck said the new site is intended to provide easy access to an ever-growing variety of University information.

"Our web page is truly our front door to the world and it is our goal to provide a site that is easy to navigate, has relevant content, serves visitors and encourages use and frequent visits," Keck said.

Keck noted the site features enhanced search capabilities, a rotating photo display and on-line photo-gallery, a dynamic hot link area, on-line catalog and course availability, news and information offerings and an interactive on-line poll.

"We encourage the community to visit the new site and provide feedback on its use for them. The medium is dynamic and we want to be able to constantly refresh and retool our site to meet the needs of those using it," he said.

The site, http://www.tamiu.edu, was developed through the combined efforts of the University's new webmaster, Mario Peña and the Office of Public Affairs and Information Services.
