Early Registration for Spring Courses at TAMIU Nov. 11-22

As the holiday season approaches, so does Early Registration at Texas A&M International University for Spring 2003 courses Nov. 11-22 in the Office of the Registrar, located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 168.

Returning students should begin the early registration process by meeting with their faculty advisor, said María R. Rosillo, director of admissions. New transfer students should register early by appointment with an advisor in the Office of the Registrar. All students, including first-time freshmen and transfer students, are encouraged to attend Orientation Jan. 8, 2003.

Freshmen who need more information should contact the University's Office of Admissions, 326-2200.

Students transferring from Laredo Community College may apply or request information at the TAMIU Outreach Office, located in LCC's University Hall, room 211 or by calling 796-1975.

"The Spring semester presents a great opportunity for students to begin their degree programs through numerous courses offered in 55 undergraduate or graduate degrees. Also, we encourage students to take advantage of the financial aid we have available on campus," Rosillo said.

Rosillo explained that an additional resource includes the Mexican Tuition Waiver, which allows students from Mexico to pay in-state tuition, and the TEXAS Grant, awarded to students with financial need.

Students may obtain copies of Spring course schedules at the University of by calling the Office of Admissions at 326-2200. Spring course schedules are also available online at the University's Home Page, http:///www.tamiu.edu.

For more information on TAMIU's Early Registration for Spring 2003 Nov. 11-22, please contact the University's Office of the Registrar at 326-2250. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday and 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
