New Courses This Spring at TAMIU

Texas A&M International University continues to grow, adding 30 new courses for students to choose from this Spring 2003 semester. Whether learning to be a screenwriter or studying the gemstones and minerals of the earth, TAMIU students will find courses designed to help them get what they want out of life.

Among new courses this Spring are:

College of Arts and Humanities: Creative Writing: Screenwriting; Major Authors: John Milton; Problems in English Literature: John Milton ; Seminar in Literature and Languages: Shakespeare's History Plays; Seminar in Rhetoric: Creative Writing; Voice Methods; Choral Ensemble Literature & Techniques; Basic Conducting; Form and Analysis; Special Topics in Public Administration: Environmental Issues; American Foreign Policy; Adolescent Development; Psychology of Bilingualism; Special Studies in Sociology: Sexualities; Special Studies in Sociology: Social & Ethical Implications of the Genome Project; Advanced Topics in Sociology: Rise & Decline of the Middle Class; Survey of Social Studies; and Spanish for Spanish Speakers II.

College of Education: Teaching Mathematics and Science in Spanish; Personality and Counseling Theories; Appraisal Techniques Child and Adolescent Counseling; Group Counseling; Expressive Art for the Young Child; Mathematics and Science Principles for Young Children; Chronic and Infectious Diseases; School/Community Health Promotions; Managing and Enhancing Reading Programs; Adapting Language Arts and Social Studies for Special Education; and Teaching Children with Emotional Disturbances and Autism.

College of Science and Technology: Earth Materials: Gemstones, Minerals, and Rocks.
