Spring Registration at TAMIU Friday, Jan. 10 at Student Center

The new year begins a new opportunity for students to realize their higher educational dreams as Texas A&M International University holds Spring 2003 Registration on Friday, Jan. 10 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. in the Student Center.

"The Spring semester presents a great opportunity for students to begin their degree programs through numerous courses offered in 55 undergraduate or graduate degrees. Also, we encourage students to take advantage of the financial aid we have available on campus," said Maria Rosillo, director of the University's Office of Admissions.

Rosillo explained that an additional resource includes the Mexican Tuition Waiver, which allows students from Mexico to pay in-state tuition, and the expanded TEXAS Grant, awarded to students with financial need.

Spring course schedules are direct mailed to Laredo and surrounding area households. Course schedules are also available online at the University's Home Page, http:///www.tamiu.edu.

For additional information, please contact the University's Office of the Registrar at 326-2250. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday and 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

University offices are closed for the holidays Dec. 20- Jan.. 1. Offices reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2. Classes begin Monday, Jan. 13. Late registration continues through Jan. 17.
