TAMIU Science Students Present Findings Friday

All semester long, Texas A&M International University Students have been studying the biology and environment of our community. On Friday, April 25, undergraduate students will have the opportunity to present their findings to the University community and interested Laredoans. The presentations will begin at 8:15 a.m. in Dr. F.M. Canseco Hall, room 101 and are free and open to the public.

Dr. Neal McReynolds, assistant professor in the College of Science and Technology, explained that the presentations help further the students' education.

"These projects and presentations give students experience doing scientific research. This can give students an appreciation of the work done in science and interest in doing research in some field of science in the future," said Dr. McReynnolds.

Some of the interesting titles to be presented include "It's All Water Under the Bridge: Invertebrate Diversity Under Bridge I & II," "The Effect of Salt Cedars on the Growth of Rye Grass" and "Spiders on the South Texas Border."
