TAMIU Holds Basketball, Volleyball Tournaments May 3-4

Texas A&M International University will hold a weekend of sport tournaments Saturday, May 3 to Sunday, May 4 and those in the community interested in playing are invited to participate.

On May 3, a basketball tournament will start in the Kinesiology/Convocation Building (gym) at 9:30. Ages for participants are 14 to 18. Registration fee is $50 per team and includes t-shirts.

Trophies for first, second and third place will be awarded. Game brackets will be posted before game time on Saturday. Single or double elimination will be determined depending on the entries.

On May 4, a co-ed 18 and over volleyball tournament will start at 9 a.m.

Participation cost is $15 per person (six to 12 players per team). The team contract may be submitted on Thursday, May 1 from 5-8 p.m. at the gym foyer and late registration will be held on Friday, May 2 from 5-8 p.m. with a $5 late fee.
