Summer Hours Announced at TAMIU

In an effort to reduce costs as mandated by the Texas Legislature, Texas A&M International University will be switching to a ten-hour, four-day workweek during the summer months, beginning Thursday, May 15.

Classes will be offered Monday through Thursday. In general, University offices will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, closed Friday. Exceptions are noted below. The University campus, except for the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Killam Library will be an exception and will continue its hours as planned. The library will be on Special Intersession Schedule beginning Saturday, May 10 through Sunday, June 1. During this time, the library will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday. Starting Monday, June 2, Killam Library will resume the regular schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The Office of Student Counseling Services will have extended hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, staying open until 8 p.m. The Office of Career Services will have extended hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, staying open until 7 p.m.

The Student Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

The University will resume the normal 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday work schedule on Thursday, August 14.
