If your child enjoys exploring the world and languages, a month-long summer language program at Texas A&M International University could introduce him or her to new and exciting corners of the globe.

From June 9-July 10, TAMIU's International Language Institute will offer a program intended to expose children to a total of six languages as well as cultural arts and crafts.

Called "Connecting Children to Our World," classes are designed for children ages 9-13 and will take place 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The program offers daily Spanish instruction. In addition, each week will feature instruction in a different language, including French, Italian, Russian, German and Japanese. As part of the program, students will also learn cultural arts and crafts related to the languages and countries studied.

Registration for the course is May 12-June 5. Tuition is $300.
