TAMIU Summer Schedule Begins Next Week

Texas A&M International University will be switching to a ten-hour, four-day workweek during the summer months, beginning Thursday, May 15.

Classes will be offered Monday through Thursday. In general, University offices will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, closed Friday. Exceptions are noted below. The University campus, except for the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Killam Library will be an exception. The library will be on Special Intersession Schedule beginning Saturday, May 10 through Sunday, June 1. During this time, the library will be closed Saturdays and Sundays. The library will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday May 12 through Wednesday, May 14, open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, May 15 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 16. Beginning May 17, the library will be closed Saturdays and Sundays, open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

Starting Monday, June 2, Killam Library will resume the regular schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The Office of Student Counseling Services will have extended hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, staying open until 8 p.m. The Office of Career Services will have extended hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, staying open until 7 p.m.

The Student Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

The entire University will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 26.

The University will resume the normal 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday work schedule on Thursday, August 14.
