TAMIU Adds New Courses For Fall 2003

Texas A&M International University continues to offer new courses to meet the needs of students and the Laredo community.

This Fall will be no exception, as TAMIU will offer 22 new courses. Some are additions to previous programs, while others, such as the military science classes and music classes, are designed to support new programs and degrees on campus.

The new courses for the Fall 2003 semester are:

COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES

Two new courses in Urban Anthropology; Basic Military Science; Basic Military Science Lab; Advanced Military Science; Advanced Military Science Lab; TAMIU Orchestra; Piano Class I NonMusic Majors; Accompanying; Mexican Politics and Government; Hispanic/Latino Mental Health; Intro To English/Spanish Translation; Fundamentals of Computer Science; Data Abstraction and Object Training; Complex Variables I; Theoretical Foundations for Nursing; and Research Methods/Designs in Nursing.

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Ethics for Accountants; Accounting Research; Seminar in Ethics; Financial Business Ventures; and Seminar in Financial Business Ventures (graduate level).

For more information about specific courses, please contact the appropriate College.

Early registration for the Fall 2003 semester at Texas A&M will begin Monday, July 21 and continue through Thursday, July 31.

General Registration will take place Friday, August 22, and classes will begin Monday, August 25. Late registration, with late fees applied, will begin Aug. 25 and continue to Aug. 29.

University Registrar summer office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday and Friday and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
