Writing grant proposals has its own magic and a two-day workshop to be held Dec. 3-4 at Texas A&M International University can help you turn your ideas into a vivid description of your program needs.

The workshop will be conducted by the Texas State Governor's Office and is open for anyone working for a non-profit organization.

The workshop is scheduled from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 and from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Dec. 4.

Tuition is $90 and lunch will be provided on the first day.

Jessica Villarreal, program coordinator for the Office for Special Programs, said the workshop will offer an opportunity to explore creative ways to write a grant proposal.

"On the second day of the workshop, there will be a round table discussion in which participants can bring current grant projects that they are working on and ask questions about them," Villarreal said.

Those interested in participating in the workshop are urged to register early by visiting the Office for Special Programs in Student Center, room 119A as space is limited.

For further information, please contact Villarreal at 326-2765, e-mail jesvillarreal@tamiu.edu or visit offices located in Student Center, room 119A.

University office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
