Registration for Spring Semester 2004 courses at Texas A&M International University is underway in the Office of the Registrar, located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 168.

Barbara Lunce, University Registrar, encourages students who prefer not to wait in long lines at General Registration, Jan. 16,to register now.

"Students need to start their registration process by making an appointment to see their faculty advisor," she said, "New transfer students should register early by appointment with advisors in the Office of the Registrar. All students, including first-time freshmen and transfer students are also encouraged to attend Orientation Jan. 14."

No registration fees are due until January and new exemptions allow visa holders and undocumented aliens to be charged in-State tuition under House Bill 1403, which provides them an opportunity to attend a university and pay in-state tuition.

University offices will be open through Tuesday, Dec. 23 and will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5. Registration may be accomplished throughout these days and prior to General Registration on Friday, Jan. 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Student Center. Classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 20. Late registration will continue through 5 p.m., Jan. 26.
