Over 80 Employers Part of TAMIU's 'Career Expo' March 25

If you are searching for a new job opportunity, Texas A&M International University's 'Career Expo' will be bustling with employers wishing to give you a new start Thursday, March 25 from 1-5 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

The annual job fair, free and open to the public, will feature over 80 recruiters representing businesses, school districts, federal and state agencies, the medical field and banking.

Mary Chavez, associate director of Career Services at TAMIU, said the 'Career Expo' will provide the community a chance to interact with employers eager to find new talent.

"Everyone is invited to attend Career Expo to visit with the representatives and find out about possible full or part-time positions, internships," Chavez said, "Also, the event is open to anyone wanting learn about career opportunities with a company. We recommend that everyone bring their résumé."

Chavez said late registration for companies wanting to participate is still available by contacting the TAMIU Office of Career Services.

Employers participating this year include Abilene Independent School District, Aldine Independent School District, Alice Independent School District, Americorps, Beauticontrol, Beeville Independent School District, Blaine County School District #61, Brownsville Police Department, C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc., Cardservice International South TX, City of Laredo, Corpus Christi Independent School District, Corpus Christi Police Dept., Dallas Independent School District, Del Valle Independent School District, Eagle Pass Independent School District, Ector County Independent School District, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

Also participating are FedEx, Fort Duncan Medical Center, Fredericksburg Independent School District, Freer Independent School District, Garland Independent School District, H.E.B. Grocery Co., Houston Independent School District, Internal Revenue Service - Criminal Investigations, International Bank of Commerce

Judson Independent School District, KGNS-TV, Kroger Food Stores, Laredo Convention & Visitors Bureau, Laredo Federal Credit Union, Laredo Independent School District, Laredo Medical Center, North East Independent School District, Northside Independent School District, Office of the Texas Attorney General, Pasadena Independent School District and Pleasanton Independent School District.
