The Texas A&M International University Alumni Golf Tournament will be held this Saturday, March 27 at the Laredo Country Club. Proceeds support student scholarships at TAMIU.

The tournament will be played as a two-person scramble event with a 7:30 a.m. tee-time.

The $200 registration fee includes one admission to Vegas Night, which will be held on Friday night at the Country Club. Vegas Night will feature Vegas-style games, music, food, bar and prizes.

Imelda Navarro, TAMIU Alumni Association president, said the event is critical for student scholarships at the University.

"These partnerships and support of golfers for the Tournament are pivotal to our providing scholarships for our TAMIU students, as over 70% receive some form of financial aid to complete their higher education," Navarro said.

"Our students, our athletes, our entire campus community is involved in this initiative and we truly appreciate the partnerships and help we receive from our community to make this Tournament a success," Garippa said.
